Tom Northrop, The Insurance Exchange; Kelly Pulliam,CNA; Brett Hoffman, The Insurance Exchange shared one of the reception’s many information tables. Northrop’s obviously not new to the reception circuit as he quickly made fast introductions between like-minded individuals and was able to remember where each one lived and a few facts about each. If you see Tom, say hi.
Planning and conversation merged into disaster planning as ARINC’s Frederick Ferrer(winner of the IT Rising Star of the Year for 2010 CIO&CTO; LIVE! Awards) told TechCouncil of Maryland’s Mark Glazer and govWin’s Micheal Mullen about his disaster planning preparations and insights. With Ferrer’s experience developing cybersecurity plans, we listened a little more closely than usual.
Over 120 networking professionals were happy to talk about what they do, provide insights into doing things better and were open to learning about how they could find new opportunities by using govWin.
We were also able to solve one mystery during a conversation between Deltek’s Russ Kohl and TechCouncil of Maryland’s Rick Harris. Remember the comedian at the recent Mid-Atlantic CIO & CTO Live! Awards? Harris is working to perfect his art as a stand-up comedian and was more than happy to convince fellow DC-based comedian Chris Cocciato add a few laughs to the ceremony. It went so well that you may be seeing more comedy at future events.
