Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged youth between the ages of 16 and 24. Supporting GovCons are responsible for the management and operation of a Government-owned facility, as well as the hiring of staff for the residential living, basic education, vocational training, career development,Outreach/Admissions, Career Transition Services, and health care services according to the applicable U.S. Department of Labor/Job Corps regulations.
The San Diego Job Corps program current supports about 555 participants (300 residential males, 218 residential females, 12 non-residential males, and 25 non-residential females); with a goal to recruit 672 students annually.
