Google Gemini 4 (Argon) Deserves More Attention: Why I Use Google’s Models Daily, and How Agentic AI Cut Newsletter Production to 20 Minutes
Expert Corner
It’s genuinely fascinating how Google Gemini 4 (Argon) dropped yesterday, and the collective tech world barely made a sound. Okay, maybe that’s a slight exaggeration, but you get the point. If Anthropic sneezes, the industry writes a dozen thought pieces on how many tissues it used. Yet, a massive release from Google seems to fly under the radar. Hype cycles aside, I find Google’s models incredibly practical, and I use them daily. For overall image production quality, it comfortably outranks Grok. Factor in its video production capabilities and exceptional document summarization, and it has secured a permanent spot in my daily workflow.
That workflow has been getting a serious workout lately. I am officially expanding my output to three separate publications: the AI Intelligence Report, The AI Fintech Report, and the AI Data Center Intelligence Report. The hilarious, or perhaps just amazing, part of this expansion is the raw acceleration of the process. When I first started writing a newsletter at Verizon over three years ago, it took me a solid two to three hours to pull together a single edition. Today? I can generate the core content for all three newsletters in about 20 minutes. Right now, the only bottleneck in my production pipeline is waiting for the graphics to render so I can share the previews on LinkedIn.
Even with this expanded output, I’m entering what I consider a “quiet period.” I currently have two books in flight. The Four Debts has officially moved into the layout phase with the publisher, which is a massive milestone. My next project, Authority in the Age of AI, which explores the shift toward physical AI and robotics, has been accepted by the publisher but is still with me for final polishing before it goes to the editorial group.
It is a quiet period primarily because I am sketching out the early stages of a brand-new book. Balancing that with the demands of my new role means my time for deep writing is more constrained, so this next manuscript will take a bit longer to bake.
Through it all, the steady drumbeat continues: all three newsletters will keep rolling out, and as always, your thoughts, ideas, and additions are more than welcome.
