  • Colorado’s revised AI law remained a major compliance issue. Enforcement of the Colorado AI Act has been suspended while litigation and federal intervention continue, but its risk-management and automated-decision requirements remain influential for other states.
  • Massachusetts continued considering disclosure and sector-specific AI legislation. Proposals under review include disclosures for conversational AI, algorithmic rent-setting restrictions, and requirements covering AI-supported healthcare decisions. AI Legislative Update
  • The state policy focus is expanding beyond models to infrastructure. Michigan, New York, and other states are considering energy-use, labor, ratepayer-protection, and community-benefit requirements for AI data centers.
